Operations and Maintenance

Preventive maintenance is regularly performed on modules, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, and substations.

Our services in this category include:

• Cleaning of modules and all electronics as dust collection may lead to shorts and general underperformance.
• Visual, drone, and thermal inspections to identify any cracked panels, structure corrosion, oil leaks, loose connectins or cable discolouration. 
• Planned shutdowns are conducted as needed. We ensure all subcontractors are brought to the site on the same day, and all maintenance is efficiently completed within that day to ensure the shutdown period is as short as possible.
• Return to service after a shutdown which includes restoring power to the inverters.
• SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Aquisiton) program management which controls output. 
• 24/7 monitoring from our control room.

In instances where equipment fails or underperforms, corrective maintenance takes place. We identify, isolate, and rectify issues. Services include:

• Root Cause Analysis (RAC).
• Equipment replacement.
• Equipment monitoring post replacement.
• Component Specialisation.

We ensure our clients are never left in the dark. Our reporting covers all maintenance activities conducted on the solar PV plant. These include:

• Flash reports.
• Incident reports.
• Progress reports.
• Monthly report to NERSA (National Energy Regulator of South Africa).
• Quarterly and Annual reports.
